Applications are now being invited to the New Pathways Film Fund.
The New Pathways Film Fund is a partnership between the London Boroughs Of
Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham and is part of the London Borough Film
Fund Challenge supported by Film London.
New Pathways is a production led intensive training programme for 15 new
entrants to film from traditionally under represented groups designed to
explore new and accessable filmmaking technology, alternative routes of
exhibition and distribution and how to apply them to a short film
production.
Participants to the scheme will be invited to pitch their script developed
through the training scheme to a panel of judges who will award 6 film
bursaries of £1500. A total of two bursaries will be awarded from each
Borough.
New Pathways training programme will be delivered by VET, based in Hoxton
Square, Shoreditch, the heart of London's vibrant multimedia industry who
are a professional broadcast post production facilities and a leading media
industry training house. VET has created an 8 day intensive bespoke
training programme designed to develop a deeper understanding of new
technologies in digital filmmaking and how to apply this to your film
.Please Note: Applicants will need to commit to the 8 day Training
Programme to be eligable for the scheme.
The training programme will run concurrently with a script development
programme where participants will have 2 sessions with a script developer
and will be guided through the development process.
All films Produced through the scheme will be entered into 'The Bobs,' or
The Best of Boroughs Film Awards, in partnership with ITV Local.Two prizes
each of £2000 will be awarded to the best films made through a Borough
Production Fund, in an award ceremony next summer.
